A Message from Principal Cotton

Thanks to all of you who have posted, texted and called to check in on any RHE students and families possibly impacted by the terrible fire at the apartment complex at Vickery and Bryant Irvin. We've been in contact with those RHE families who live there and confirmed they were not affected by the fire thankfully. We will keep you posted if we hear of any needs. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for our Mustang family!

We look forward to all students and staff finishing strong this week before Spring Break. Please make sure to reach out to the school if your child is still in need of a Chromebook.

Love,

Mrs. Cotton

A Message From FWISD Regarding COVID-19 Guidelines

Governor Greg Abbott issued a new Executive Order (GA-34) regarding COVID-19, lifting the mask mandate in Texas and increasing the capacity of all businesses and facilities in the state to 100 percent, effective next Wednesday.

However, as provided for in Governor Abbott’s Executive Order, and absent any new guidance from the Texas Education Agency, all current Fort Worth ISD protocols will remain in effect.

Visit www.fwisd.org/Page/24196 for all COVID-19 guidelines.

Chromebook Distribution This Week

Dear Parents,

Last week we completed the initial phase of our Chromebook distribution. We understand that many parents were not able to take advantage of the dates of distribution, and we want to ensure that every child receives a Chromebook.

We are sending home acknowledgement forms with all students who did not receive a Chromebook. If you would like for your child to have a Chromebook, please complete the Student Electronic Device Checkout Form and sign it. We will then assign the student a Chromebook and send it home with the him/her. We encourage every student and parent to take advantage of this opportunity, since the Chromebooks are used almost daily in classroom and for testing purposes. Obviously, the use of the Chromebooks varies by grade level. If you have questions about their use and their travel to and from school, please contact your child’s teacher for more specific class information.

If your child is virtual, please call the school to set up a time to pick up a Chromebook for your child.

Please call the school if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Ellen Starr

Virtual Learning Support

The Virtual Learning Support page is the go-to resource for students and parents. Whether you're getting started using a digital device or online application for the first time or need to learn more about how to use a resource, you'll find the support you need here. Our Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) were designed to give you clear, step-by-step directions for completing common tasks within various applications.  In addition to our QRGs, you will find helpful videos that walk you through the applications used for virtual learning.  On this page, we've compiled information and resources specifically for students and parents to help with common learning tools like Google Classroom, Google Meet, Seesaw, ClassLink, and much more. For students who have received a district-issued device, we have several resources available to help parents and students with technical issues. Our goal is to ensure that parents and students have the knowledge and technology skills needed for success during virtual learning.
