A Message from Principal Cotton

I appreciate everything that everyone has done this year to support our school. We are looking forward to Fine Arts Day on June 4th! We also need parent volunteers for our Virtual Career Day on June 11th. Fill out the interest form below for our school counselor, Mrs. Tracie Harris - she would be so grateful! We are still working hard to prepare our 3rd - 5th-grade students for the STAAR Administration test. We thank our students and parents for entrusting our teachers with your education.

Love,

Principal Cotton

FWISD UIL Academic Meet & Math Bee News!

Ridglea Hills will be competing in the FWISD UIL Academic Meet in May.  Students in grades 2-5 will participate in the following events:

2nd Grade:  Creative Writing

3rd Grade:  Ready Writing and Spelling

4th Grade:  Ready Writing, Spelling, Number Sense

5th Grade:  Ready Writing, Spelling, Number Sense, Dictionary Skills, Listening, Maps, Graphs, & Charts, and Social Studies.

While UIL will look different this year, I am excited that our students will be able to participate.  We don't have the final details, but study materials will be sent home this week to students who are interested.  We are able to have 3 participants per event in each grade level.

District Math Bee:

In March we held our first annual Math Bee.  3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students were invited to participate.  This competition consisted of mental math, so contestants had to solve math problems in their heads without using paper and pencil.

Congratulations to:

Division 1:

1st Place 3rd Grade:  Tre Carr

2nd Place 3rd Grade:  Jasper Sheffield

Division 2:

1st Place 4th/5th Grade:  Parrish Lewis

2nd Place 4th/5th Grade:  Collin Maxon

Tre and Parrish will represent Ridglea Hills at the District Math Bee on April 29.

Great things are happening at Ridglea Hills.  It's a great time to be a Mustang!!

Virtual Learning Support

The Virtual Learning Support page is the go-to resource for students and parents. Whether you're getting started using a digital device or online application for the first time or need to learn more about how to use a resource, you'll find the support you need here. Our Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) were designed to give you clear, step-by-step directions for completing common tasks within various applications.  In addition to our QRGs, you will find helpful videos that walk you through the applications used for virtual learning.  On this page, we've compiled information and resources specifically for students and parents to help with common learning tools like Google Classroom, Google Meet, Seesaw, ClassLink, and much more. For students who have received a district-issued device, we have several resources available to help parents and students with technical issues. Our goal is to ensure that parents and students have the knowledge and technology skills needed for success during virtual learning.
