A Note from Principal Cotton

I just want to thank everyone for an amazing school year! We could not have done this without our teachers, staff, students, and parents! We realize this year has brought us some challenging times, but we press on as Mustangs do! I am so very proud to be a part of this amazing school and want to wish everyone a great and restful summer! I would like to acknowledge Ms. Renee Rick and Mrs. Ginger Cary for their retirement celebration last week and look forward to celebrating Mrs. Nancy Dowell's retirement and Michelle Kelly's departure, as they venture on their new journeys. Once a Mustang, Always a Mustang! We love them all from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Mrs. Cotton

Retirement News

It is with a sad heart that we have to say goodbye to some of our Mustang family.

On June 14th come to wish our school secretary Nancy Dowell a wonderful farewell.

On Friday, June 10th we said goodbye to our fabulous library team Renee Rick and Ginger Cary.

They will all be missed very much.

Thanks for a SUPER Field Day!

Big shout-out to Field Day Chair Eric Sanchez and Ashley Sanchez for making this year’s special version of Field Day - extended recess - such a winner for our students and teachers!

This event is always an RHE favorite, and this year the Sanchez dream team with the help of our teachers and a few parent volunteers were able to deliver some well-deserved fun for our Mustangs despite challenging circumstances, including less than sunny skies!

Students raced with hot dogs, shot balls of all shapes and sizes, raced some more, and played the traditional tug-of-war for the coveted trophy.

Thanks for helping us finish this school year strong! You definitely earned your own blue ribbon!

Congratulations Susan Shaheen, Winner of the FWISD Energy Conservation Art Contest!

Susan Shaheen, 5th grader at RHE, won the FWISD District’s Energy Conservation Art Contest! Ms. Tessa Chapman and our Mustang family are so very proud!

Congratulations to our Battle of the Books Competitors!

Congrats to our third, fourth, and fifth graders who competed in Battle of the Books last week! We were only able to field one team at each grade level and not have our usual campus competition this year, but these kiddos and their coaches had fun! Our fourth-grade team placed second in the district! Way to go guys!

Virtual Career Day 2021 is in the Books!

We are grateful for all of our volunteer presenters.  In various classes, we had a dairy farmer, attorney, a firefighter, a retired NFL player, an office manager, a fitness content creator, a lifestyle wellness practitioner, a graphic designer, a forensic scientist, a cinematographer, a NASA technologist, an HR director, a Texas Rangers broadcaster, a TCU volleyball coach, energy consultants, a physical therapist, a balloon artist and business owner, a person in regulatory affairs, public relations for sports teams, 4H extension agents, and contributions from TCC!

Students can find any of the pre-recorded videos and activities in the RH Counselor's Google Classroom.

We hope all students continue to explore their future and all the different types of careers that are out there!
