A Note from Principal Cotton

Hello RHE Learning Community!

Tomorrow begins the 1st day of the 2nd six weeks! Our teachers and staff are doing an amazing job with instruction and ensuring that our students' needs are being met in spite of this pandemic we all face! I want to commend our teachers and staff for an excellent job this 1st six weeks! I love our RHE Staff!!!

And now for some "good trash talk" to our students that think they're going to tape me to a wall and throw pie in my face - it's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! I know that you can't raise the money to do it, so I am not worried!!!

Gooooooooooo Mustangs!

Love,

Mrs. Cotton

Walkathon is THIS Friday, October 1st!

What is Walkathon? It is an opportunity to build community and raise money for our school. We want every family to participate, and there are many options to do this. The Walkathon will take place this Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at 8:00 am, and we want YOU to be there. Families are welcome and encouraged to join as the entire school takes a 1-mile walk around the neighborhood. As a reminder, visitors are not allowed inside the school at this time. You may link up with your student when they head outside with their class prior to the start of Walkathon.

Get Involved with Walkathon! Here's How!

These are a few ways you can donate your time and/or resources in order to help make this year’s Walkathon a success.

For the month of September, each week we will be having a special Walkathon Spirit Shop AFTER school on Tuesdays from 2:45 - 3:30 pm and BEFORE school on Wednesdays from 7:20 - 8:00 am.  We will be set up at different locations around the front of the school where kids are picked up and dropped off. Not only will your kids be able to purchase some pretty awesome goodies,  snacks, and popsicles; but this is where you will buy your bracelet that will allow your child to have FREE DRESS on WEDNESDAYS.

Some of the items that will be for sale include the popular “pop it” keychains, RHE gear, an assortment of friendship bracelets, headbands, flashlight keychains, sport keychains, and stickers.  We will also be selling popsicles after school on Tuesdays.  Everything will be between $1 - $5.

Walkathon t-shirt sales are closed online, but you can purchase one at the Spirit Shop this week and on Friday morning.

BUT, in order to make this a success we need you to help us with two things….

1) VOLUNTEER - If you are available to volunteer to work at one of the tables, please sign up here - https://www.signupgenius.com/.../409084AADA822AAFB6...

AND

 2) COME VISIT THE SPIRIT SHOP (or send your kids with some money). This is a great way for ALL of us to support the school that pours so much into our children and be able to make it better and better!

Looking forward to "Hiking the Hills Together" with y’all!
