A Note from Principal Cotton

Good afternoon RHE Family!

Unfortunately, I lost and will have to get a pie in the face and be taped to the wall this week! Hopefully, Mrs. Hixon and her class will be kind to me!!! (Fingers crossed! Stay tuned for more information.)

I just want to say thank you to all of our teachers, students, parents, and our Walkathon Committee for making Friday so very special. We were so fortunate that we didn't have to cancel our event because of the weather. It was such a great day and I hope everyone enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Love,

Principal Cotton

Walkathon Wrap-Up!

What a wonderful Walkathon we had! Friday was so much fun! It was a breath of fresh air to return to the normalcy of the annual event with so many family members joining their students. The committee and I thank each of you who participated in any way. I personally want to thank all the people who volunteered their time throughout our FUNdraising month to make it happen. Our school is truly one of a kind, and this event highlights how much the involvement of loving parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors makes amazing things happen for our school.

Please say thank you to these committee members when you see them - Ashley Lilburn, Brayden Hudson, Melinda Dumas, and Meredith Rowsey. Others who also gave above and beyond with their time and generosity: Megan Powers, Nancy Sticksel, Beth and Shelby Timmerman, Christine Hudson, Amy Burch, and Jenn Nevitt.

Our amount raised is nearing $56,000 and still climbing! We had an incredible turnout for the walk and so much excitement and energy - HIking the Hills Together! It was a great day to be a Mustang!

Your 2021 Walkathon Chair,

Emily McNay
