Fine Arts Day is THIS FRIDAY!! We will spend the day celebrating A Kaleidoscope of Color while exploring the Fine Arts. It will be a great day of fun activities for our students to enjoy! Only pre-registered volunteers will be allowed in the building after 8 a.m. on the day of the event. Parents, visitors, and younger/older siblings will NOT be allowed to shadow or stop in to see their students on the day of the event. ALL students will need a sack lunch on FRIDAY as the entire school will be eating in their classrooms. The students are also encouraged to leave their backpacks at home that day.

On Thursday, March 3, we have a school to transform!  We will start after school and run until we are done. We will have food as well as a raffle throughout the evening (must be present to win). If you have a craft kit with a glue gun, scissors, and other essentials, bring it (but make sure everything is labeled)! If you don't, no worries, we will have everything ready for all areas of the building and outside! We need those that are and aren't crafty! Grab a friend, bring your high school-age child (or make them babysit the younger ones), or come solo. Have a girl's night out, have a guy's night out, have a date night, feed the family and come on up, have a neighbor watch the kids while help right after school, however you make it happen, come on up! If you want to know if we are still working at a certain time, text 817-688-3607, and I will let you know! We do ask that all Elementary school age and younger stay home though. We want your help turning Ridglea Hills into a Kaleidoscope of Color!!

Did you miss ordering a Fine Arts Day t-shirt?  We have a limited number of t-shirts for sale.  They are $12.00.  You may e-mail Laura Hixon at laura.hixon@fwisd.org with your child's name, teacher, and size(s) wanted. Please send cash or check (payable to RHPTA). Orders received by Wednesday, March 2 will be sent home Thursday.

The RHE choir is attending the Pride of Texas Music Festival and Contest on April 25th, and we are hosting a couple of out-of-dress code days to raise funds.  The first will be this Tuesday, March 1st.  We will sell $2.00 wristbands before school in the foyer by the library and the main entrance on Monday and Tuesday morning. 

Our last day of Run Club is tomorrow, Monday, 2/28/22 until 4 pm. We will have a party to celebrate all the hard work our runners have put in this year! Mrs. Cotton has given students in Run Club permission to wear their Mustang Miles shirts to school tomorrow! (Mustang Miles shirts were delivered on Friday. If your child did not receive theirs, check with their teacher to see if it's in the classroom. Let me know if you don't receive it tomorrow!)

• Reminder - there was no Kids 5K at the Cowtown race weekend this year. This was a decision made by the race organizers due to the pandemic. Schools across the metroplex have been given "pop-up" race assignments. RHE Run Club's pop-up race will be at RHE on Friday, March 25, 2022. This race is for runners who registered for the race through Cowtown. Registration closed on 1/31. At this time, we are unable to accommodate runners who have not registered. We will let you know if this changes.

Just a reminder Ridglea Hills families…. Tickets go on sale on March 1!! General admission tickets $35, teacher/staff $30. Each includes 1 drink ticket. First fifty bought tickets receive an extra drink ticket!!!
