I want to send a huge thank you to everyone involved in our amazing Talent Show on Friday night.  

First - to my stage crew.  Ellie Nevitt, Alex King RH Alum Jane Gelineau and Robyn Urbani made backstage magic.  They were beyond helpful.   A crew of volunteers were out in the rooms and helping as well - Meredith Rowsey, Jenn Nevitt, Brooke Holland and Melinda Blackerby.  Mustang Muscle helped with crowd control - thanks to Rance Monk, Scott Rowsey and William Henderson.  Even though they don't get this - Mr. Perry and Ms. Corbin from Monnig, along with Officer Partain, made the evening run smoothly - and handled all of the sound and lighting.   

Second - to the sponsors of the group acts, I was so impressed.  All of the groups knew what to do and it was clear they had a great time.  If your child was in a group act - PLEASE send a note to your sponsors and thank them.  The kids made memories they'll never forget.  To the sponsors of the individual solos - your kiddos blew me away with their bravery as well as their talent.  You are all fabulous parents and it was so fun to watch your amazing kids perform.  

Finally, thank you to the teachers that came out to the show, and especially to the ones performing in the teacher act.  Thank you Mrs. Poe for organizing that - everyone loved it, especially the students!  We have such fun activities at Ridglea Hills - I hope talent show remains one of them forever!

Sometimes it’s hard to believe how many amazing PTA-sponsored events we have at RHE! We start the year out strong with Walkathon, and end the year on a high note with a fun and creative night watching our kids perform at Talent Show! It was such an emotional experience having this beloved event return! 

Thank you to our Ridglea Guru and Talent Show Chair, Michelle Henderson, and her volunteers for making this a night to remember! From our Celebrity 5th Grade Emcees and Beyoncé (Principal Mrs. Cotton) to the grade-level, Teacher, and solo acts, Friday rounded out a year that our RHE family needed! It was fun! It was inspiring! It was perfect in every way!

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is THIS WEEK, May 2-6 and we are getting ready to show our RHE Staff how much we love and appreciate ALL they do for our kids and families! We are excited for a fun week of spoiling and loving on them, but we can’t do it without your help! 

Coming home in your child’s folder this week is a special “Letter from Camp Mustang” that they can fill out and return to their teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week to let them know how much they are loved! Keep an eye out for the yellow paper!

Like every year, our teachers and staff have gone above and beyond and we cannot wait to let them know how much we appreciate them.  Thank you for all of your help to make this possible!

Parents, it is time to register! Online registration for all students for the 2022-23 school year is open now.

Three quick things to know: 

All students, new and returning, must register!

For returning students, this requires a Snapcode, which you’ll find in Parent Portal, and in an email, you may have already received this week.

And all the information you need is at www.fwisd.org/register, including a hotline number and Let’s Talk for extra assistance.
