You might be asking - Why should I join the PTA?
- Support your school - A portion of your membership fee goes directly to fund PTA events and programs at our school, provide additional learning materials and supplies for our classrooms and teachers, and help fund campus improvement projects.
- Stay up to date on PTA & school news - Our RHPTA is a vital source of communication about upcoming events at school and throughout the year for your student and family.
- Connect with other families & PTA members - PTA is a great way to meet other families & community members who are connected to our school.
- Support advocacy for our students, faculty, and school - A portion of your membership fee goes to the National & Texas PTA to fund advocacy for our students. Texas PTA is instrumental in policy change and influencing decisions made about our schools and teachers.
- Learn about volunteer opportunities - You do not have to ever volunteer or attend any meetings as a member, but if you wish, PTA is a great way to get involved and volunteer at our school!
- Take advantage of TXPTA member discounts - There are a number of great businesses who offer discounts to Texas PTA members and support our students and school.
- Receive a free membership sticker - Come see us at the PTA table at Open House to pick up your free membership sticker after joining!
WHO can join the PTA?
- Everyone! Parents/guardians, grandparents, family members, friends, community members, teachers/faculty, alumni. We welcome and encourage anyone interested in supporting our school to become a member!
We have a goal of one PTA member for each student enrolled at our school. We need YOUR help to make that happen! Sign up your family and friends TODAY! Ask your teacher if he or she has joined! Our PTA actually earns recognition and awards based on numbers of members and types of memberships - parent/faculty/grandparent/community member/etc. Together, we can make a big impact for our students and our school!
