Dear Families of current 5th graders,

Our 5th graders will be going to Monnig Middle School on Tuesday, January 17th for an electives showcase starting at 9:45am (should last approximately an hour). Parents & Guardians are welcome to attend.

The Monnig counselors will be coming to 5th grade classrooms on Thursday, January 19th to speak to our students, explain courses in more detail, and have students complete their course requests (students possibly attending other middle schools will still complete this).

Congratulations to the 2-5th graders who participated in our Ridglea Hills Chess Tournament.  We won Team 1st place in both the K-3 and 4-5/6 grade divisions.  Congratulations to Sean Gibson for placing 5th overall in the K-3 division and Wyatt Woodward for placing 4th in the K-3 division.  

Mrs. Katie Maxon and I could not pull this tournament off without the help of fellow teachers, staff members, and parents.  Thank you to RHE Teachers/Staff Mrs. Jenn Nevitt, Mrs. Stormy Ramirez, Mrs. Halie Poe, Mrs. Lori Blakley, and parents; Nancy Sticksel, Julie Grimsley, Leslie Hammer, Anna Guajardo, and our custodians; Ana and Chris.  Mrs. Maxon and I appreciate your time and help.
