Timeless-Fine Art's Day 2023 - Friday, March 3!!

As we spend the year celebrating everything Ridglea Hills, it’s hard not to celebrate all of our spectacular traditions and Fine Arts Day is definitely one of those traditions. Like the art it strives to showcase and celebrate, Fine Arts Day 2023 is Timeless. We are SO excited to be able to continue this tradition and spend the day showcasing the arts and its past. This is a can’t miss event and it is not possible without your support!! As always, we need volunteers you to make this day happen.

We need your help! Here are the variety of ways to volunteer:

  • Have an artistic talent (Music, Dance, Art, etc...) that you would like to share with the kids? Please email Robynttu@gmail.com. I still have 3 artist spots to fill for our rotations.

  • We need help setting up and decorating the night before. Starting after school until we are finished! Any bit of help you can provide that night is appreciated! (No elementary kids please!)

  • Lunch Volunteers – We will provide you lunch, and you will stay in the classrooms with the students while the teachers eat. You will also take them to recess or tour the outdoor decorations, weather permitting. You are needed from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a great way to see what we do without having to make a full-day commitment! No younger siblings are allowed to attend with you. If you would like to volunteer by either chaperoning a class during their lunch/recess time (this allows teachers to have a lunch break) or help an artist all day, please complete the attached google form or print the copy and return it to your child's teacher.

  • All Day Volunteers – You are needed from about 7:40 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. These volunteers will be provided lunch and a free T-shirt! There are a limited number of all-day volunteers needed, and they are placed on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Each volunteer must have a clear background check for 2021-2022! No exceptions will be made. Background checks must be accepted by FWISD by Friday, Feb. 4. Need to do yours? Click here to complete: https://www.fwisd.org/Page/360

  • After the tardy bell rings, non-volunteers will have to leave the building. Non-volunteers are not allowed to visit at lunchtime on this day.

  •  Please click on the following google form to sign up as a Fine Arts Day Volunteer. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSejGUOL3tY9qscLgRz-fxVOF9g0eoAYwfZKeR_9MUKc-9imiQ/viewform?usp=pp_url

T-shirts!!

  • As part of the fun, we also sell special T-shirts for the day! You are welcome to purchase one for a student and/or yourself! Shirts are $12 and will be gray. Please do not plan to buy one at the last minute as you may be disappointed! Shirt orders will be taken via paper form with cash or check, or online at https://rhpta.membershiptoolkit.com/packet/2651

  • Fine Art's Day t-shirt orders will be accepted through Feb. 3.  If you would like to order a t-shirt, please send cash or check (payable to RHPTA) by Feb. 3.  We cannot guarantee extra t-shirts will be available for purchase if you do not order one.  An example of the t-shirt will be posted  as soon as it becomes available.  Paper copies of the volunteer form and t-shirt order will be sent home this week.

  • Please return all forms to your student’s teacher, to Laura Hixon, or place them in the PTA box in the office. Please securely attach cash or checks for shirt orders – we recommend placing them in an envelope.
