Congrats to Ellery Prevost!

Congratulations to Ellery Prevost, second grade, whose dance piece was advanced to the state judging round of the Texas PTA Reflections Art contest!

Share the Love for PTA!

Did you know that we have won awards every month this school year from Texas PTA for your amazing support and membership in our school's local Parent-Teacher-Association!?  Your membership is a huge part of what allows us to do all of the wonderful events and support our public school in amazing ways!  Congratulations!

This month, February, our goal is to SHARE THE LOVE FOR PTA and add 14 new members to our PTA.  From now through February 14th, we will deliver a special Valentine's gift to your student's teacher (in your name!) for the first 14 new members who join Ridglea Hills PTA!

Don't delay and miss out on this special gift!

For only $10 per member, you are supporting our school and learning community financially and adding your voice to the advocacy happening for all public schools across the state and country.  Come add your name to all the great things happening at Ridglea Hills Elementary through our PTA!

We need you - together, "We are Ridglea"!

Fine Arts Day is TIMELESS!! March 3, 2023

T-shirts orders have been extended to Tuesday, February 7. With the crazy weather last week, we want to make sure everyone gets their t-shirt orders! You can send the completed form to school with your child, or you can order online. Shirts are $12 and will be gray and have all of the house colors represented on the shirt. Shirt orders will be taken via paper form with cash or check, or online at www.rhpta.membershiptoolkit.com.  If you are available to work the full day of the event, register before Tuesday to make sure you get a volunteer t-shirt. We will not be ordering a large number of extras so get your orders in now!! Please return all forms to your student’s teacher, to Laura Hixon, or place them in the PTA box in the office. Please securely attach cash or checks for shirt orders – we recommend placing them in an envelope.

As we spend the year celebrating everything Ridglea Hills, it’s hard not to celebrate all of our spectacular traditions and Fine Arts Day is definitely one of those traditions. Like the art it strives to showcase and celebrate, Fine Arts Day 2023 is Timeless, and you will want a t-shirt to remember this day!  We are SO excited to be able to continue this tradition and spend the day showcasing the arts and its past. This is a can’t miss event and it is not possible without your support!! As always, we need volunteers like you to make this day happen.

We need your help! Here are the variety of ways to volunteer:
ï‚· Can you follow directions really well and have fun with the kids? Have an artistic talent (Music, Dance, Art, etc) that you would like to share with the kids? Please email Robynttu@gmail.com. I still have artist spots to fill for our rotations.

ï‚· We need help setting up and decorating the night before starting after school until we are finished! Any bit of help you can provide that night is appreciated! (No elementary kids please!)

Day of Volunteers: Please click on the following google form to sign up as a FAD Volunteer:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSejGUOL3tY9qscLgRzfxVOF9g0eoAYwfZKeR_9MUKc-9imiQ/viewform?usp=pp_url
ï‚· Lunch Volunteers – We provide you lunch, and you stay in the classrooms with the students while the teachers eat. You also take them to recess or tour the outdoor decorations, weather permitting. You are needed from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a great way to see what we do without having to make a full-day commitment! No younger siblings are allowed to attend with you.
ï‚· All Day Volunteers – You are needed from about 7:40 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. These volunteers are provided lunch and a free T-shirt! There are a limited number of all-day volunteers needed, and they are placed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you sign up by this Tuesday, you will be guaranteed a t-shirt!!
ï‚· Each volunteer must have a clear background check for 2021-2022! No exceptions will be made. Background checks must be completed by Friday, Feb. 10. Need to do yours? Click here to complete: https://www.fwisd.org/Page/360 After the tardy bell rings, non-volunteers will have to leave the building. Non-volunteers are not allowed to visit at lunch time on this day.
