Our spring book fair is coming up SOON and we need volunteers to help with preview and sales! We are using a new vendor this spring and you will want to check out all the goodies.

Preview will be all day on Thursday, March 23rd and Friday, March 24th - we will need volunteers to help the littles write their lists each morning!

Sales days will be Tuesday, March 28th - Friday March 31st - we need volunteers to help shop, math, and checkout for 1-1.5hrs each morning.

Our Ridglea Hills Choir is gearing up for contest season and doing a little fundraising at the same time!  Let's show our test takers and teachers that we support them by wearing an awesome STAAR spirit shirt!  Students and staff may wear them on testing and spirit days.  They are available for all grade levels! Many of Ridglea Hills Elementary’s events could not happen without parental involvement. The RHTPA Executive Board consists of 42 positions held by RHPTA general members. While each position has a specific job, the Executive Board makes administrative and financial decisions for RHPTA. In addition to the specific jobs outlined, each Executive Board member should be able to regularly attend board meetings. There are eight Officer positions, elected by the general RHPTA membership in April, and 34 Appointed Chair positions chosen by the incoming President. If you are interested in serving on our executive board, completed forms are due by Friday, March 31st. We have a beloved tradition at Ridglea Hills - The Talent Show!

What is it?  While it's called a talent show, it's really a night of showcasing talent.  There are no winners or losers.  Only RH students, faculty/staff are eligible.  There might be girls' acts, boys' acts, mixed groups, or solo acts.  Often there will be a grade level group - such as "Third Grade Boys" and they will rehearse and perform a dance together.  A super fun way to get to know other kids (and parents!) in your grade.  Parents sponsor the acts and organize the choreography, costumes - everything.  RHPTA volunteers will organize and produce the show.  It will be FREE to attend for our RH Family.  Sometimes you'll even see a fun act with your favorite teachers in it!  5th graders will have the opportunity to be the emcees and stage crew for the show.  (Signups will go home with 5th graders this week!)

Details and Dates:  

• Friday, April 7th - this is the absolute deadline to turn in entry forms. Sponsors will also need to turn in permission forms and Music/AV Needs.  
• Wednesday, April 12th at 5:00 - Sponsor walk-through at Monnig. Required for at least one sponsor per act.  
• Wednesday, April 19th - Dress Rehearsal at Monnig
• Friday, April 21st at 6:00 pm is the Big Night!  

All forms are available at wwww.rhpta.com.  Minimal copies will be available outside the office.  Watch for more information each week in the Pony Post and on the RHPTA Facebook page.
