SUBJECT: RH Pony Post: Week of Oct. 23

A Note from Our Principal

I would like to thank our amazing PTA for hosting the caramel apple bar on this past week. It was an amazing Fall treat for everyone and such a wonderful surprise. All staff felt like they were at the State Fair with the delicious options!

We've got a busy week come up so here are a few quick reminders:

Monday, October 23rd-27th is RED RIBBON WEEK! All students and staff are welcome to participate with the daily themed dress up days. A flyer should have gone home with your child last week and is also included below on what students can wear each day.

Pumpkin Patch starts the week of October 23-27th! More information about that is also included below.

Please remember Tuesday, October 24th, is picture day for all staff and students. Students can wear their finest attire if they choose to! Please your order before picture day on mylifetouch.com and you'll receive $10 off purchase of $50+ & free shipping by using the code: NTTB-4Z4P-WJMM-3XD8.

And to top it all off, we end the week with our amazing Fall Carnival on Friday, October 27th from 6-8 p.m. sponsored by our fabulous PTA!  We look forward to this celebratory time of fun and exciting on the track!!

Looking forward to celebrating all of our fun Halloween Ridglea Hills events this week!

Pink Out

On Monday, October 30, 2023, all students and staff are invited to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

'Tis the Season for Giving

The holidays will be here before we know it! Once again, our school will have our very own Angel Tree again to help out our fellow Mustangs in need!

If you are a family in need of assistance this holiday season, please reach out to RHE School Counselor, Tracie Harris by November 3.

Additionally, with cooler temperatures FINALLY here, we are in need of donations of sweatshirts, coats, jackets, hats and mittens for our clothing closet.

We also have an ongoing need of snacks for the weekly snack packs. Items needed include ramen/mac and cheese, granola bars, chips/cookies, fruit snacks, fruit bar/pop tarts/oatmeal. Basically anything ‘snacky’ and shelf stable! Clothing and food donations can be placed in the large bin outside the front door.

For more information, please contact school counselor, Tracie Harris at tracie.harris@fwisd.org or 817-815-1715.

Students of all ability groups are welcome as well as any parents or grandparents who would like to help.  Any adult who would like to help with Chess Club will need to have a FWISD background check completed.

Please use the link or QR code below to submit your volunteer interests. You may also fill out the volunteer form and return to your teacher or email VP of Volunteers, Megan Powers, at meganpowers84@yahoo.com

Fort Worth ISD requires an online background check process for all school volunteers. Background checks must be completed every year for volunteers; they do not carry over to the next school year. For those with students in multiple schools, one background check is sufficient, as it covers all of Fort Worth ISD. To complete your mandatory application and background check to volunteer through Fort Worth ISD, please visit:  https://www.fwisd.org/volunteer.
