A Note from Our Principal

Happy Sunday,

We are already planning for the 24-25 school year with scheduling classes for next year.  More information will be coming to our school learning community soon about summer learning and planning for next year school. Personnel will attend required trainings and meetings in the upcoming weeks.

Also, please note that we are looking forward to Family Museum Night on Thursday, February 15th at Fort Worth Museum of Science and History from 6-8 p.m.  The class with the greatest attendance will receive a pizza party. Any student that attends will receive a free 100% and homework pass.  Can't wait to see everyone!

Hello Mustang Families! Hot Dog Supper Meal and Raffle Tickets are LIVE!! 

Hot Dog Supper take home packets arrived in your student’s folders last week. 

Meal Tickets can be purchased with the order form located inside the packet and also online by clicking the button below. Meals must be purchased by Wednesday, February 14th. Meal tickets will NOT be sold at the door so please plan ahead.

Don’t forget to purchase your raffle tickets! Your child will have a chance to win some of our AMAZING theme baskets and AWESOME grand prizes!

Your room parent(s) should be contacting you soon to talk about the raffle baskets.  Thank you for your contributions to help make these raffle baskets AMAZING!

Calling All Volunteers!

Fine Arts Day is Friday March 1st and we need YOU to volunteer!   Come be a part of one of the BEST days of the year at RHE - a tradition that is loved by so many!   Volunteer sign ups are now LIVE and All Day volunteer slots are limited - filled on a first come first serve basis.   So put in those time off requests, click on the google form link below and join the fun!!    

All Day Volunteers -  These volunteers do a variety of things from hosting our artists to helping set up lunch - they are the glue that helps the day run smoothly.   All day volunteers receive a free t-shirt and lunch.   


Lunch/Recess Volunteers - Can't spend the day?   Come from 10:50am-12:15 and help supervise your student's class at lunch and recess.   All classes eat in their room on Fine Arts Day and will have parent volunteers there to watch them and take them out to recess.  These volunteers also receive a free lunch.  


Set Up Volunteers - Come spend the evening on Thursday Feb 29th helping decorate and transform the school!   2 and 3 hour shifts are available between 4:30-9pm.

Fine Arts Day t-shirts are now available to purchase online! The cost is $12 for YXS-XL; 2XL & 3XL are available for an additional charge. These will only be available online until February 11th. No order forms will be sent home and we will only have a few extra to sell the day of, so make sure you order online soon! 

Teachers and all-day volunteers do not need to purchase as they will be provided!

FWISD PTA Pyramid Meeting
You're Invited!


Join us, along with the FWISD Council of PTAs, and other PTAs from our pyramid for a Heights Pyramid PTA Meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, in the AHHS Cafeteria.


All current PTA members, family engagement specialists, and campus administrators of schools with PTAs in the pyramid are invited to discuss the following: how the pyramid is doing with membership, upcoming Council events, how the local units can be involved, and how Council can provide support.

4th & 5th grade lessons will be focused on "Safe People, Safe Places, Safe Choices". There will be 2 lessons total completed during Double Specials time in February.

TCU Women's Basketball

Thank you once again for joining us for Field Trip Day at TCU Women’s Basketball earlier in the season. We loved having your students in the stands cheering on and supporting our players! While we will not have another game with free admission this season, I do want to let you know that we have a discounted opportunity coming up that is available for all of your students.

In an effort to allow everyone in our community a chance to experience an exciting TCU Women’s Basketball game, we will be hosting a $1 Day game on Tuesday, February 13 that 6:30pm. With tickets priced at $1, we hope that this gives you all a chance to make it over to Schollmaier Arena.

Early Dismissals are Now Electronic!

“The process” itself hasn’t changed - we are just helping to expedite the process. The early dismissal sign-out is in the office and will still be used as needed. We have created a google doc that parents may complete in advance for early dismissals. This is an effort to alleviate parents having to reach out to teachers directly during instruction time and eliminate a long wait for your student to come up to the office, especially when time is critical. We will call the student(s) a few minutes before the requested dismissal time and have them wait for pick up. If the students have not been picked up within 5 minutes of the requested dismissal time, we will return them to class. The form is available below, or on the PTA website - rhpta.com

Here are answers to a few FAQs:

Q: Who can submit the early dismissal request form?
A: Only contacts listed in FOCUS can request an early dismissal.

Q: Are IDs required?
A: Yes. Authorized contacts MUST present a valid, government issued ID before the student will be released.

Q: What’s the earliest I can request an early dismissal?
A: Electronic requests can be made as early as parents would like for the same day. Students will be marked absent if they are not in class at 10am.

Q: What’s the latest time for early dismissals?
A: 2pm for Pre-K, 2:45 K -5

Mustang Stampede is back and ready to thrill your kids with a surprise appearance on their birthday or any special occasion!

 Your $30 donation (which goes to support the 5th grade field trip) includes 12 mustang signs and a Ridglea Hills sign. Happy Birthday signs can be included as well! Just let us know!

Reservations must be made at least a week in advance.

Reserve your special day now! What a fun way to support your 5th grade families and show the neighborhood your RH spirit!

We are now taking reservations for the month of January and February.

Please email rhstampede@gmail.com to make your reservation. Include the date and address. You will receive an email reply to confirm your reservation (we have 2 sets of signs, so we can make 2 reservations per day). After your reservation is confirmed, you can pay via Venmo, via Membership Toolkit or cash or check. Information will be sent to you regarding payment.
